Touch Down

The daughter landed in Ethiopia.

The cups were filled by the changes to the air but the sips stay solid since coffee gets its taste from the trees that ground its fruits.

The last two months were spent observing FASIKA (Easter). Bed times earlier than curfew and somber gospels on repeat.

These photos are taken during that time. Anxious times make it hard to sit still but photo stills shows faith reveals.

Eid is in a few days and my Grandma’s suburb is still past sunset. She’s always seeking the news. I feel blessed to be here. Home is home and it never ends.
